ANDROID APPS OF THE WEEK: Lock Your Kids Out Of Apps And Stream Music From Amazon

Amazon mp3 cloud player

This week was a big week for Android with the unveiling of Amazon's Cloud Drive and Cloud Player which are built for Android.

We take a look at some more apps including the long awaited Tap Tap Revenge for Android, and even a brand new Business Insider app.

Smart Lock Pro is a useful parental control app

With Smart Lock Pro, you can lock down your phone so only select apps and services can be launched.

One Android Market reviewer said, "This was exactly what my wife and I were looking for. My kids have no way to access any internet sites, the market, or make any random phone calls."

Price: $0.99 on the Android Market

Trulia is a great app for real estate lovers on the prowl

Trulia enables you to use your geo-location to search for houses, apartments, and more using Trulia's expansive database of listings.

Voice activation and QR code scanning are a couple other cool features this app offers. Also, the app offers big photos you can view, as well as the ability to add open-house listings directly to your calendar.

Price: free in the Android Market

MLB at Bat 11

MLB at Bat is essential for any baseball fan, but it isn't easy on your wallet. It requires a pricey MLB.tv subscription that is $120.00 for a whole season.

The Android app is decent, but we're hoping for a Honeycomb app soon that's tablet-optimized (like the iPad app).

MLB.tv is free for the month of April when you download this app.

Price: $14.99
